The Pentecostal Young People’s Association (PYPA)was formed on August 30th,1947, two weeks after India became independent. Thus in independent India, a Pentecostal youth movements was born to uphold the mantle of the gospel.The aim of the organization was to work among the student community and to include the youths of all Pentecostal organizations in this youthmovement.

A unit of the PYPA was formed in Pentecostal Church of Kuwait (PCK) in a meeting conducted at the activity hall of N.E.C.K (National Evangelical Church, Kuwait) under the chairmanship of late Pastor. E.J. Oommen, the resident pastor of PCK. The official inauguration of the PYPA was done by Pastor. Mathew Samuel (on visit) on Monday, 26th March 1979 on its first meeting conducted at the residence of Bro. K. Thomas Mathew
The present membership of the PYPA is over 400. It is an inspiration to many young people. There is no age bar. All born again believers are members of the PYPA unit in the Pentecostal Church of Kuwait (PCK).
